ABOUT PRAXIS

Not a network.
Not a status symbol.
A standard lived.

The Praxis Society was founded in Calgary in 2026 around a simple belief: values mean little unless they become visible in conduct.

Praxis brings together people pursuing meaningful lives while remaining accountable to character, service, discipline, growth, and one another.

“Unity does not require uniformity.”

The standard determines membership—not gender, profession, wealth, status, background, or social connections.

THE SIX PILLARS

What the crest
is meant to represent.

The pillars are not slogans. They are standards members are expected to translate into repeated choices.

01

Character

Integrity made visible through repeated choices.

02

Fellowship

Mutual support joined with honest accountability.

03

Achievement

The pursuit of worthwhile goals and the development of ability.

04

Service

Contributing time, skill, leadership, or resources beyond ourselves.

05

Discipline

Making actions consistent with commitments.

06

Growth

Remaining a learner and continuing to develop.

THE PATH IN

Membership is earned
through alignment.

Membership is not recognition of status or self-description. It is acceptance of the standard a member agrees to uphold.

THE STANDARD

No hazing. No purchased membership. No status requirement. Candidacy derives its rigor from preparation, service, reflection, consistency, learning, and contribution.

Built to mean more
with every year.

Traditions matter when they preserve memory, reinforce responsibility, and give future members something worth inheriting.
